Development status update
BioPAX Release candidate status - no work done on this in the past month by Gary. He is sorry about this and we need to find out how we can get more people involved in the ontology editing process. In other news, the Sander group will have new people joining the next little while who will be able to help with BioPAX since Mike has left.
Administrivia: BioPAX Governance, Authority Of Pages, Committees and Delegation Policy
We agreed to work on these pages individually. We discussed governance on the call. Jonathan will update the document according to what was discussed and send it out for review. Other pages listed above will be discussed on the dev list to try to finalize them for the next discussion opportunity (likely the next conference call). We will be asking Peter Karp and Chris Sander for constructive criticism - Gary will ask them to send their thoughts to the dev list before they are finalized.
Change of conference call time to 1 hour earlier? Request from Mike Cary
Yes - we will move the calls to noon. This will be announced on the discussion list with some time for objections later.
Report from Sander group on current status of DOE's grant to BioPAX
Gary wrote a grant progress report and sent it to the DOE for the DOE workshop grant and will post it on the wiki. Alan requested an accounting of what money was spent on. Gary will ask Chris about this, but generally the grant has been spent on BioPAX meeting participant travel expenses. We currently have a $20K extension to help cover the Japan meeting in addition to the Japanese grants that Ken has arranged. Some discussion was held about how people think this should work in the future, but this is another topic we will have to deal with.
Making data more accessible - Joanne raised this point and we did not get a chance to discuss it, but will on the dev list.
LibBioPAX / conversion status - we did not get a chance to discuss this.
